Now! All of the fans of the "Jhereg" (Vlad Taltos Series) will get to know what their favorite House's animal representation looks like, as well as what the House stands for!

This is the "Sanctioned" and "Canonical" Cycle of Rulership, as per Steven K.Z. Brust's interpretation. It will appear in the novel to come, Jhegaala, in solid black and white, in place of the current Cycle Poem. (He hates that poem, and has for 25 years...) This was requested by the author, (said to be "impossible") and I jumped at the chance. And what an honor it was! My favorite author ask me to draw things for my favorite series?

...Duh.;)

This has been my project since June. Each of those 17 little Houses had to be designed and agreed on (so that's what HE says they look like, people...this was all chosen by Brust), then the style of placement and wording. I plan to upload all of the versions so that you can see the "evolution". Maybe in my scraps.

This image is being posted with permission from Tor (Patrick!) and Steven Brust (Author!).

EDIT: The online shop that sells "Brust Merchandise" that bears an image very similar to this "Cycle", ...I have NO affiliation with, nor does Brust give any clearance to the images aside from allowing Fan-Art from the shop's owner to be posted there for sale, with her profits going to him.

The "Cycle" version, and sundry "House Representations" contained therein, in that shop, is NOT my work, and I gave no permissions for its use, nor did I assist in their creation, nor did Brust.

He doesn't describe them well at all. Hence the pictures. But I got to be the lucky one to dig it out of his brain. You can see the evolutions in the Taltos-Related folder to see all the different ways I tried.

Thanks for this. It takes me several of his novels to endure airports. It's nice to see some quality art in association with them.

Incredible work! You're lucky to have worked with Steven Brust... I'm envious! I love his series too. But you have made it simple and gorgeous, congratulations! It's striking.
